• Anyone riding bikes this weekend?

  I was thinking it'd be fun to have a group to ride with.  I'm thinking of ~3 hour rides both saturday and sunday and am (at least at the moment) flexible on leaving time or destination.  It would be nice to leave from a place that's not Amante - maybe Avery?  That worked well last time we tried it.  Thoughts?

• Nederland MTB Sunday 6/9

   Anyone interested in joining us for some Nederland MTB action this Sunday? We were up there last weekend and most of the trails are open and ridable. The logging has very much changed the scenery. No timetable set yet, probably in the morning, from the east end of the east mag trails on Magnolia road. 3-4 hours of medium pace riding (I'm doing Sunshine HC tomorrow, so I expect Sunday will be on the more casual side).

• Buffalo Creek Sunday(5/26)

  I know it's a bit late notice with the holiday weekend but I am wondering if anyone is up for a long mountain bike ride Sunday out at Buff Creek? I am thinking of leaving Boulder around 8-8:30am to be riding around 10am. Let me know if you're interested.

• Carter Lake Early Sunday Morning

  A friend who's training for an Ironman needs some more bike milage, so we're leaving for Carter Lake at 8am from my house, before the day gets too hot.

  8:30 from Amante North Boulder. We won't be flying, but we are hoping to be back before 1pm.

   I am going to 3+ hr flat ride tomorrow. Would like to start at 9ish or so at any place in Boulder. Was thinking Carter lake. Not a hammer fest ride. Join me if interested and name the place to meet.

• Good weekend for the GS peops

   I hardly looked at all the results, but from what I can see Melissa, Deb and Dana S, took home the 24hr MTB National Champ win in 4 person teams (as a 3 person,) Jonah won the State TT and Hannah wom Mike Horgan. Freakin' rad I say!

• GS Boulder Fruita Invasion 2013 - HUGE SUCCESS!!

   Just an update for all  those who couldn't make it (....um totally missed the boat), the GS Boulder Fruita Invasion was a huge success this past weekend!!!! We had 25 racers (plus 2 "supporting GS members" that were just there to join in the fun) who participated in the 18-hours of Fruita.

  We all had a blast with perfect weather, a huge team camp, fancy socks, a bumpin' RV, lot's of laughs, a BBQ and an Avery brew festival. We also had some pretty sweet results (including 2 "Gold" -wooden coasters, 1 "Silver" wooden coaster and 1 "Bronze" wooden coaster).

  The weather was perfect, the course was dusty-twisty fun, and everyone from our serious riders (wait did we have any of those?) to the first-timers had a fantastic time.
